Discuss the general shape of the objects, that the Midsegment is parallel to the base(s) and Corresponding angles, etc create proportional (similar) objects nested one inside the other.
Work thru example 2 p. 185. Decide what the width of the top "base" of a Triangle is... and how this relates to the "averaging of the midsegment and the top and bottom base of a Trapezoid.
Work a few more problems from board them turn them loose with p. 186/187 (8; 10-18)

The previous Transformations only change the Orientation of the figure. Dilations change the SIZE and not the Orientation.
